Mrs. Clara Ellen Mount, age 76, the last surviving member of a family of 10 children, died at her home SE of Ladoga, at 8 o'clock Wednesday morning after an illness that dates back 6 months. Mrs. Mount had been critically ill for 3 weeks, with a complication of ailments. Born June 9, 1869, at Ladoga, Mrs. Mount was one of 10 children of Hiram Davis and Mary (Crutchfield) Davis. She was married April 22, 1892, to J. Frank Mount of Crawfordsville. Mrs. Mount was a member of the Methodist Church of Ladoga. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, a daughter and a son-in-law, in addition to four grandchildren and one great grandchild. One son, Lon Mount, resides on a Rockville RR and the other, Russell Mount, lives at home. The daughter, Mrs. Nina Britton is at Providence, RI where her husband, Carpenter's Mate, second Class, Henry Britton is located at Camp Endicott. CM2/c Britton & Mrs. Britton have a daughter, Beverly and a son, James, both of Providence. The other grandchildren are Mrs. Bonnie Berry, of Carbon and Miss Georgia Mount of Indianapolis. The great grandchild is Malcolm Berry of Carbon. Several nephews and nieces also survive. Mrs. Mount was preceded in death by her parents, and six brothers and three sisters. Friends may call at the home Thursday, and until noon Friday. The funeral services will be held at the Gottschall Funeral Home in Ladoga at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon. - kbz
