Carrie Mount, 85, of 309 W. Market St., died at 8:20 p.m. Friday at her residence after an illness of four months. She was born in Lenawee County, Michigan on Sept. 9, 1880, a daughter of Christopher and Anna Rulapough Ruckel. She married Joseph Morton Mount on June 6, 1906. Mrs. Mount was a member of the First Christian Church, the OES and the American War Mothers, all of Crawfordsville. Her husband was a partner in Francis & Mount Grocery until his death. She was employed there until a year ago. Besides the husband, a son Ernest and a brother Albert Ruckel preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Cora Tauscher of Crawfordsville; a son, J. Ray Mount of Crawfordsville, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harry--Mrs. Mount's twin — and Ernest Ruckel, both of Science Hill, Ky., and a sister, Mrs. Cora Reinhardt of Crawfordsville. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday. Rev. Howard F. Miller will officiate and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Mount were held Monday afternoon in the Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Rev. Howard Miller of the First Christian Church was in charge. Mrs. O. C. Edwards played selections on the organ. Serving as pallbearers and assisting with the flowers were Paul Humphreys, David Tauscher, William Mount, Harold Sanford, Fred Ingersoll and Harry Wilcox. Mrs. Mount died Friday evening at her residence. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery
