DARLINGTON - Mrs. Pauline Mote, 74, died Wednesday in St. Joseph Hospital at Kokomo. She had been a resident of Kokomo for five years and prior to that had lived most of her life in the Darlington area. She was a member of the Eastend Christian Church and had attended Darlington schools. Born Jan. 12, 1900 at Darlington, she was a daughter of Daniel and Lucy Goebel Long. She married Andrew Frank McDaniel on April 4, 1918, at Crawfordsville. He died Nov. 27, 1962. She then married Raymond Mote on Dec. 3, 1969. He survives. Surviving with the husband are five daughters, Mrs. Opel Parke of Colfax, Mrs. Keith Norton of Lebanon, Mrs. Donald Pratt of Lebanon, Mrs. Juanita Widermuth of Indianapolis and Mrs. Margaret May of Lafayette; four sons, James and Joe McDaniel of Darlington, Robert McDaniel of Florida and Jack McDaniel of Crawfordsville; three sisters, Mrs. Earl Carver of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Hieldred Hora of Aurora and Mrs. Mildred Grabman of Indianapolis; a brother, Harold Long of Huntington; four stepchildren; 38 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Burkhart Funeral Home, Darlington Chapel, with the Rev. Homer Hunsinger officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday.
