Morrison - Jennie Erskin
Source: Crawfordsville Journal-Review Crawfordsville, Montgomery County Indiana 12 Nov 1952 p 4 New Ross Mrs. Jennie Erskin Morrison of Lebanon a former resident of this community died Tuesday morning in Witham Hospital after a lingering illness. She was the widow of the late Dane Morrison. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Earl Reese and Mrs. Edith Rex both of Lebanona and a son, James E. Morrison of Michigan City. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Russell & Hitch Funeral Home in Lebanon.
Note 1: Jennie Erskin Morrison -- Dane Morrison was known as Guy when he and Jennie were married: Indiana Index to Marriage Records 1844 - 1920, compiled by the WPA: Boone County C - 13, Page 344. Jennie O. Erskine married Guy Morrison on 2 Jun 1906 in Boone County.
Note 2 : Found my own answer by looking at the RIGHT marriage register: her father was John, her mother was Sarah. This begins to lend some credibility to the assertion that Michael Erskin had a fifth child, a son John V. Well, maybe except he doesn't appear in any census, 1850 - 1880 at least not in his father's home. Hmmmm. Kathy
