Mrs. Nellie Morris, wife of Nelson Morris, died at her home at 11 o'clock Friday night after a long illness from heart disease and dropsy. She was a kind and much loved old lady and "Aunt Nellie", as she was familiarly known, had a wide circle of friends. Since early life she has been a Christian, but always unassuming, she loved her home best of all and was ever ready to tender its hospitality with a willing hand. Margaret Ellen Ross, daughter of Philip and Cynthia Ross, was born September 14, 1832. She was united in marriage to Nelson Morris October 15, 1873. She departed this life December 17,1909, aged 77 years, 3 months and 3 days. She was the eighth of a family of ten children. The father, mother, three brothers and two sisters preceded her to the grave. One sister, Mrs. Ann Swank, of Alkine, Okla., and three brothers, Harrison and Stephen Ross, of Monticello, Ind., and James Ross, of Wingate, still survive. She united with the Christian church during her girlhood days and lived a pure, consistent Christian life, ever faithful and remindful of God, the father and Creator. - New Richmond Record. – thanks to Lena H
