Allie Morris was born in Delaware County, Ind., December 4, 1851 and died February 8, 1901, aged 49 years, 2 months and 4 days. She was married to Franklin Cox November 13, 1873. Born to them were four children, one dying in infancy. One son and two daughters survive her, Wallace, Stella and Beulah, one little granddaughter, Alta. She also leaves four sisters and two brothers.

She joined the M. E. Church during the pastorate of E. R. Johnson in 1878, being a member of the church for 23 years. She has been an invalid for almost six years. During her illness she was very often deprived of attending church, but she never forgot to love and obey her master. She has always been a kind good wife, mother, sister, and neighbor, loved by all who knew her. Her loss will be deeply felt in the church and neighborhood. But our loss is her eternal gain. - s
