Stanley Morgan - hand mangled While working at Lamson Bros. sawmill on Friday morning, Stanley Morgan tried to tighten up some of the machinery while the saw was running. The wrench slipped letting his left hand strike the saw. The thumb was severed at the first joint, and the third joint of the second finger was so badly injured that the finger had to be removed. The next finger was badly lacerated, but can be saved. He was taken to Culver hospital for treatment. Mr. Morgan has had a succession of bad luck this fall. This makes his third trip to the hospital in as many months. His latest accident was a sorry Christmas gift for his family, somewhat mitigated by a generous contribution raised for their aid.
