NEW ROSS – Robert C. Morgan, 58, retired state trooper and a barber for many years, died late Sunday evening in the Indiana University Medical Center at Indianapolis. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Jamestown. He was born in Lebanon on April 2, 1914, a son of Robert Vallie and Jesse Covey Morgan. He attended Indiana University. He was married to Mildred Dickson on Dec. 12, 1935 in Jamestown. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Robert F. of Crawfordsville and John, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Furling of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Juli McMullen of Lebanon; a sister, Mrs. Rosemary Marks of Pittsboro, and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Walker Funeral Home in Jamestown with burial in Old Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday. – jlr
