Sugar Creek Twp -- Last Wednesday Robert Morgan, together with other boon companions, went to Colfax and got on a regular drunk. Late in the afternoon they started for their homes in this township on horseback and feeling rather elevated, of course, they must run their steeds. In the road Morgan got thrown from his horse and so seriously injured about his head that he lingered in terrible agony until Sunday evening when death ended his sufferings. Morgan was a married man and leaves a wife and several small children. The terrible fate of this poor man should be a warning to whisky drinkers and horse racers. - kz
