Phyllis Morgan May 5, 1927-June 18, 1988

Phyllis May Morgan, 61, of 1414 Danville Ave. died Saturday morning in Culver Union Hospital. Mrs. Morgan was a nurses aid at Culver for 17 years. She worked three years at Cigna Health Plan of Arizona, retiring in 1983. Mrs. Morgan was a ember of the Wesleyan Church and past missionary president. She also served in the Nurses Aid Corps for the Montgomery County Chapter of the American Red Cross. Born May 5, 1927, at Montgomery County, Mrs. Morgan was the daughter of James Kirby and Merdith Appleby Childress. She married James D. Morgan June 10, 1946, at Crawfordsville. He survives. Also surviving are two sons, Dennis of Winfield, Pa., and Kirby of Crawfordsville; two daughters Mrs. Mark (Marcia) Wilson of Plainfield and Mrs. Jeff (Esther) Aubry of Crawfordsville; a sister, Iris Fitzsimmons of Crawfordsville; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services were today at Powers Funeral Home with the Rev. Philip Jones officiating. Burial was in Masonic Cemetery North.
