Source: Crawfordsville Journal & Review pg. 4, 15 April 1946 -- Cecil C. Morgan, 63, who operated a saw mill on St. Rd 47, for five years died at 12:50 o'clock Sun. morning at Culver Hospital. He had been ill several months and death was due to a heart condition. Mr. Morgan was born May 30, 1882 in Fountain county and was the son of Joseph N. and Amanda Barker Morgan. He married Lorene Warner in Parke County in February 1919. He was in the saw mill business at various locations for 40 years. Surviving are his wife, six children, Mrs. Lawrence Devitt and Mrs. Lawrence Breedlove, both of Crawfordsville, Miss Marion Morgan, John Morgan, Clayton and Carol Dean Morgan, all at home, a sister, Mrs. Carl Smith of Waveland, a brother, Stanley Morgan of Crawfordsville and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Proffit & Sons mortuary. Friends may call at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Masonic children.

?? Newspaper -- Seven neighbors and friends of Mr. and mrs. Cecil Morgan arrived at their home last Monday to assist with some fence building. Mr. Morgan has been ill since last Oct and at present is confined to Culver Hospital. THose who took part int he work included Omer Whitlock; John Mornout; David Thompson; Jack Alexander; arbie Sanders; Goerge Creua and Earl Winnegar. They were assisted by Clayton and Stanley Morgan.

Waveland Independent, April 18, 1946 -- Cecil C. MORGAN, 63, who operated a saw mill on SR 47, for five years died at noon Sunday in Culver Hospital. Mr. Morgan was born May 30, 1882 in Fountain County and was the son of Josepha nd Amanda Baker (sic -- should be BARKER) Morgan. He married Lorene WARNED (sic -- should be WARNER) in Parke County in Feb 1919. Surviving are his wife, six children, Mrs. Lawrence Devitt and Mrs. Lawrence Breedlove both of Crawfordsville and Marion Morgan, John Morgan, Claton, Carol Dean all at home; a sister, Mrs. Carl Smith of Waveland; a brother, Stanley Morgan of Crawfordsville and two grandchildren. Funeral was held at 2 on Tuesday afternoon at Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home.
