ELMDALE — Mrs. Olive Ann Moore, 81, died at 5 a.m. Monday in the Ben Hur Nursing Home at Crawfordsville after an extended illness. She had been seriously ill the past eight months. She was taken to Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville in July after she suffered a stroke and was a patient there until a month ago when she was transferred to the nursing home. Mrs. Moore had resided in this community the past 35 years. She was a member of the Elmdale Methodist Church and was an organizer and charter member of the Women's Society of Christian Service of the church. She received her education in the West Lebanon schools. Born Dec. 18, 1882, at West Lebanon, she was a daughter of Harvey and Elizabeth Brown Kiser. She was twice married. She first was married in 1900 at West Lebanon to Wesley P. Foster, who died in 1925. In 1934 she married William Moore at Crawfordsville. He died in 1942. Surviving are a son, Chester Foster of Elmdale; a daughter, Mrs. Naomi McCulloch of Wingate; two brothers, Loy Kiser of Alvin, Ill., and John Kiser of Lafayette; two sisters, Mrs. Eva MackElhaney of Hoopston, Ill., and Mrs. Mary Gladden of Rossville, Ill.; a stepson, Maurice Moore of Orlando, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Mildred Calder and Mrs. Mina Cope, both of Rt. 7, Crawfordsville; a grandson, Gene King of Indianapolis; a granddaughter, Miss Kay McCulloch who is a student at Indiana State College; and several step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Mrs. Pauline King and Geraldine, who died in infancy. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown. Rev. Rob R. James pastor of the Elmdale Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in the Pine Village Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
