Mrs. Mildred J. Moore, 67, died at 9:50 p.m. Saturday at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville following an illness of three years . She had been a resident of Waveland for the past 8 years. She was a member of the Waveland Christian Church and OES 539. A native of Monica, Ill she was born May 17, 1899, a daughter of Dr. William and Grace Byrd Menefee. She married Adalia Clyde Moore July 23, 1923 in Indianapolis. Survivors are the husband; a daughter, Mrs. Gary Greenisen of Salem, Ohio; a son Dr. James Moore of Madison Wis; a brother ER Menefee of Lafayette; a sister, Mrs. Robert S. Thompson of Indianapolis; five grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Machledt & Servies Funeral Home in Waveland with Rev. Walter Porter officiating. Burial was in Old Union Cemetery. The family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. - transcribed by kbz
