Moore - Margaret Mitchell

Margaret Ann MITCHELL was born near Yountsville, Indiana Nov 30, 1851. She was one of 10 children who graced the home of James and Mary Jane Mitchell. In Sept 1869 she was united in marriage to David M. Moore. To this union were born four boys: Wm; Harry; Charles F. and Robert. The husband and Robert preceded her in death. Shortly after the present Christian Church at Waveland was organized in 1867 and during a meeting held by Rev. Bartholomew she united with the church. According to the records of the church the charter membership record was held open until after this meeting so that Mrs. Moore was one of the charter members. She has been cherished by her brothers in Christ because of her active service and loyalty to the cause of Christ all those years. Her quiet, unassuming presence in the church will long be missed. Mrs. Moore was beloved by the entire community and fondly referred to as "Aunt Mag." Her active life ended abruptly on Juy 4, 1936 when she fell and fractured her limb. Patiently she bore her sufferings until complications arose which resulted in her death August 20, 1936. Left to know the grief of losing a loved one are 3 children 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren besides many other relatives and friends.
