Moore - Lawson

Died—on Sept. 13, after a lingering and painful illness, at his residence in this township, Lawson Moore, in the 65th year of his age. He was brought up in Kentucky and immigrated to this county in 1828. His walk in life was humble but useful, and others reaped the fruits of his labors rather than himself. In character, he was singularly pure, firm, and almost faultless. He was a devout and sincere Christian, confidently trusting in the promises of God through his Savior. Let the few faults he possessed, in common with his kind, be buried with him, and the good which he did live after him.-s
