Mrs. Richard L. Moore died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Underwood in Indianapolis, at ten on Tuesday morning. Funeral services at the Methodist Church here on Thursday afternoon were in charge of Rev. Victor Keiser assisted by Rev. H. Ray Sigler. The following obituary was read: Mrs. Harriet Ann Clark daughter of John Simpson and Margaret Clark was born in Parke County, Indiana, February 5, 1844; died on June 14, 1932; aged 88 years four months nine days. When a child of five she went by covered wagon to Iowa. When 10 years of age her father died, leaving the mother, one brother and a younger sister. The mother then brought the little family back to Indiana, returning again in a covered wagon. On their return to Indiana the family was broken up and Harriet came to live with her Uncle and Aunt, Matthew Green near Waveland. That home has been her place of residence ever since. She was married to Richard L. Moore, October 25, 1882. Aunt Harriet, as she was familiarly known, was a true pioneer, always happy when she could be doing the things of every day life or ministering to the happiness and needs of others. Throughout her life she enjoyed unusually good health and was practically never sick until shortly before her death, which came after a week's illness in the home of her daughter in Edgewood, Indiana. In her early years she was baptized in the Methodist Episcopal church and while she never formerly united with any church she always said that her religion was to live a life of righteousness every day. It may truly be said that a lovely character has passed on. Besides a host of friends from far and near she leaves to mourn her loss the husband, and two children, Dr. B. M. Harbeson of Waveland, and Mrs. Fred Underwood of Edgewood, a suburb of Indianapolis. - kbz
