WAVELAND—Mrs. Carrie M. Moore, believed to be Waveland's oldest resident, died at 1:30 a.m. Thursday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. She was 95. Mrs. Moore had resided in Montgomery County all of her life and in Waveland the past 70 years. She was a member of the Waveland Christian Church and was a charter member of the Waveland Order of Eastern Star. Born Oct. 9, 1871, she was a daughter of John A. and Eliza Sweem Moore. She was married in February of 1895 to Charles F. Moore, who preceded her in death. They were married at Waveland. Surviving are a son, Claude of Waveland; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia M. Foster of Waveland; a sister, Mrs. Sylvia Moore of Muncie; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Frank. Funeral services are announced for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Machledt & Servies Funeral Home here with Rev. Walter Porter officiating. Interment will be in Old Union Cemetery north of here. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Friday.

WAVELAND — Rites were conducted Saturday for Mrs. Carrie M. Moore at the Machledt and Servies Funeral Home in Waveland with Rev. Walter Porter officiating. Pallbearers were Carson Bushong, Clarhud Moore, John Foster, Raymond Moore, Guy Durham and Homer Cox, all of Waveland, and they also assisted with the flowers. N. R. Walker played selections on the organ. Burial was in Old Union Cemetery at Waveland. Mrs. Moore died Thursday in Crawfordsville.
