Bessie S. MOORE, 67, retired after 39 years of school teaching died Tuesday Oct 30, 1962 at Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville. Mrs. Moore was known to everyone in Waveland as Aunt Bessie. Mrs. Moore was born Feb 24, 1895 in Indianapolis. Her parents were Regester and Lilly Bridgewater Spaulding. She was married in 1930 to Mark Moore. Mrs. Moore taught in the elementary grades at Bloomington and Cloverdale schools. She was graduated from Cloversdale HS in 1915, and received her bachelor's degree from Indiana University. She was a member of the Cloverdale Methodist church and Indiana State Teachers Association. Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Binkly, of Indianapolis and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Machledt & Servies Funeral Home at Waveland, Rev. Fred Dean officiated. Burial in Old Union Cemetery at Waveland. - kbz
