Dwight L. Moody, the renowned evangelist, died at his home at Northfield, Mass last Friday after a long illness. He had a most remarkable career. He was born on a farm and until his 17th year he never heard the gospel preached. Then he was converted and began at once on his life work. His soul-stirring eloquence swayed multitudes as a mighty wind and hundreds of thousands have been reclaimed through his efforts. The tell the story of his great work in this country would be to write a history of the evangelical movement during the last 40 years.
