Mrs. Ann Montgomery, widow of James Montgomery, died at 2:10 o’clock Inst Thursday morning in the Lafayette Home hospital. She had been a patient in the hospital for fifteen weeks, her death resulting from diabetes. Mrs. Montgomery was past 72 in years old, and had lived almost all her life in the vicinity of Sugar Grove. She was a member of the Sugar Grove M. E. church. Ann (Kesterson) Montgomery was borne February 10, 1813, in Hamilton county, Indiana. She was married to James Montgomery November 1 1860. To this union were born five children. Her husband died two years ago, and two of the children, Mary E. and John S., have preceded her to the 'great beyond. She leaves to mourn her, two daughters, Mrs. Ed. Byers of Sugar Grove and Mrs. Ben F. Ulrey of Chase, Michigan, and one son, Thomas F. Montgomery with whom the deceased made her home on the farm north of Sugar Grove.  She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Dell Allman of Romney, and two brothers, William Kesterson of Frankfort and George Kesterson of Cherryvale, Kansas, She passed away March 4, 1915, aged 72 years and 25 days. She was a loving mother and a good neighbor.  The funeral was held from the Sugar Grove M. E. church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, conducted by Rev. Geo. W. Switzer of Lafayette, assisted by Rev. William McMillin, pastor of the Elston Presbyterian church, and Rev. Deich, pastor of the Shawnee Mound M. E. church. Interment was made in the Sugar Grove cemetery - kbz
