Covington, Ind -- Mrs. Rose Lindley Moffett, 88, a former resident of 615 Washington, died at 5 p.m. Tuesday August 3, 1971 at the Tall Trees Nuring Home. She had been a patient for several years. Born May 7, 1883, in Parke County, she was the daughter of George and Sarah Woody Lindley. She was married Sept 28, 1904, to J. Gordon Moffett, who died January 30, 1963. Mrs. Moffett was the last of 10 children. Survivors include a son, Donald of Veedersburg Rt 1; two grandchildren and a great granddaughter. Mrs. Moffett was a member of the Fifth Street Church of Christ, Wallace Order of eastern Star Chapter and Cashhalistic Club. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Hegg Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received after 6 p.m. Thursday.

Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Covington - Mrs. Rose Lindley Moffett, 88 of Covington, the last of 10 children, died at 5 p.m. Tuesday in Tall Trees Nursing Home. She was a member of the 5th Street Church of Christ of Covington, Wallace OES and the Cablistic Club. Born in Parke County on May 5, 1883, she was a daughter of George and Sarah Woody Lindley. She married J. Gordon Moffett September 28, 1904. He preceded her in death Jan 30, 1963. Survivors include a son, Donald of Veedersburg; two grandchildren and a great grandchild. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Hegg Funeral Home, Covington. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery at Veedersburg. Friends may call at the funeral home.
