John A. Moore, a former resident of Waveland, died in Crawfordsville on Tuesday about noon. He has suffered for years with cancer on the face. He was born in Bristol Co, Mass and his father and mother both came over from Ireland in the days when it took 40 days to make the trip. At the time of his death, he was 80 years old, of which 69 years were spent in this County. He is survived by his wife, Eliza Sween Moore and 7 children: Mrs. Laura Croy, Walter, Mrs. Charles Moore, Mrs. Claude Moore, Mrs. Perry Moore, John and Mrs. Inez Burroughs. One daughter, Edith, is dead. He was a member of the Christian Church. Funeral services were held at the home, yesterday. When here the family lived in a house that stood where RT Burrin now lives. -- kbz
