WAVELAND – Charles M. Moore, 84, of Waveland, a general store operator, died Friday evening in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville 1½ hours after being admitted. Mr. Moore operated general stores in Portland Mills, Milligan and from 1931 to 1972 in Waveland. He was a member of National Guard, Baptist Church, Men’s Bible Class of Waveland Covenant Church and served as president of Waveland Conservation Club for 20 years. Born Jan. 1, 1892, in Parke County, he was a son of James E. and Victoria Watson Moore. He was married to Hazel Alexander in 1915 at Portland Mills. She is deceased. Surviving are a son, Clarihud of Waveland, and several neices and nephews. Services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Machledt & Servies Funeral Home with the Rev. Glen Bates officiating.
