The funeral of James Moody was held from the home on W. Main  St. on Fri. afternoon, services being conducted by Rev. FB Solin.  Interment at Union. James William Moody son of THomas N. and  Martha Moody, was b. Sept 26, 1879 at Waveland and d. May 7, 1914  at the age of 34 years 7 months and 12 days. He was marr. to  Effie Millamon on Feb 28, 1902 and to this union b. 5 children:  Trent, Bonnie, Dolly, Corlea and James. There remains to mourn  his loss the widow and five children, the parents, two brothers,  Sant and Harry and sister, Mrs. John Gilliland. Mr. Moody was a  faithful husband, a loving father and a devoted friend. Among  those present from a distance were: Mrs. Rena Howard, Mrs. Mabel  Cary, JJ Clements and Miss Hazel, Ed Hastaday, Mrs. Will Hastady  and George Davis of Crawfordsville; Mr. & Mrs. Will Millamon  and Mr. & Mrs. Jesse Barton of Logansport and Emery Hawkins  and family of Jessup. - transcribed by Karen Bazzani Zach

James Moody died at his home on W. Main St. at an early hour  on Thurs. Morning. He worked on the previous Thurs. until  afternoon when he was seized by a chill which quickly developed a  grave type of pneumonia. He was the son of Mr. & Mrs. TN  Moody and was 36 years old. He leaves wife and 5 children, the  oldest of which is 11. Fun. services will probably be held at the  ME Church this afternoon at 2. -- transcribed by Karen Bazzani Zach
