KINGMAN, Ind. (CNS) – Orval George Mitton, 56, of Kingman Route 2, a member of the Covington Community school board since 1971, died at 7:48 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 21, 1976) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill. He had been a patient three and a half weeks. He has served as Fulton Township trustee for two terms from 1963 to 1970. He was employed at Hyster in Danville for 18 years and was a member of the Independent Lift Truck Builders Union, serving as president in 1970 and 1971. He was born Dec. 4, 1919, in Warren County, the son of Walter and Hazel Perry Mitton. On Feb. 14, 1947, he married Leona Ruth Smith, who survives. He had resided in Kramer in early life, later moving to Veedersburg. He moved to Kingman in 1947 and to his present address 17 years ago. He was an Army veteran, serving in Europe from 1942-45. He was a member of the First Church of Christ of Covington and the Three Rivers Coon Hunters Club. ..  – jlr
