Mitchell - Unknown man - 1863

We learn this morning, that a young man by the name of Mitchell residing about a half mile SW of this city when on his way and near home at abut 8 o'clock last night was seriously wounded by a pistol shot. The ball entered at the point of his nose, passing up and through the left eye, finding lodgment somwhere probably in the front of his head. On examination, its exact locality could not be ascertained. The perpetrator of this murderous act is, as yet unknown. - kbz
