Newtown, Ind. (CNS)--Roy C. Mitchell, 62, of Newtown died unexpectedly at 11 last night (March 2, 1967) at his home here. He worked yesterday and death was attributed to natural causes. Born June 5, 1904 at Crawfordsville, he was the son of William and Rose Stover Mitchell. He was married to Leona Gray Feb. 14, 1929 at Jackson Heights Methodist Church and she survives. They moved here 38 years ago from Wingate and he was employed by the Covington Implement Co. He was a member of the Newtown Presbyterian Church, the Volunteer Fire Department, Tri-County and Indiana Firemen's Associations and Richland Masonic Lodge 205. Also surviving are a son, Gray S. of Pendleton; a daughter, Mrs. Anne McCall of Attica, and five grandchildren. The body is at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Mitchell, 62, who died Thursday evening at his home in Newtown, Ind., will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Williamsport, Ind. Burial will be in Newtown Cemetery with the Rev. George Phelps of Danville officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today. Also surviving is a son, Martin, of New York.
