WAYNETOWN -- Glenn Mitchell, 57, of Waynetown, died at 6 a.m. Tuesday in Veterans Hospital at Indianapolis. He had been ill for over a year and was hospitalized two weeks ago. Mitchell moved to the Waynetown community a short time ago from a farm near Veedersburg. He was employed by the Waynetown Tile Co. Born on Jan. 6, 1911, in Waveland, he was the son of Moses and Artie M. Hudson Mitchell. He was married in 1953 in Mexico, Maine. His wife, Mary, survives. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. W. W. Mitchell of Crawfordsville and Ruby Wilson of Hillsdale. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Parham Funeral Home at Veedersburg with Rev. Mrs. Edith Bruner in charge. Burial will be in Waveland Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday.

WAYNETOWN - Glenn Mitchell, Waynetown, formerly of Veedersburg, died 6 a.m Tuesday, Feb. 27, at the Veterans Hospital in  Indianapolis.
Mitchell was born Jan. 6, 1911, at Waveland, the son of Moses and Artie Mitchell.  He was married to Mary McDonald in  Mexico, Maine, in 1953.  He had been employed by the Waynetown Tile Co. as a tile maker.
Surviving besides his wife are two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Wilson, Montezuma, and Mrs. Clemice Mitchell of Crawfordsville. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Friends may call at Parham Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Wednesday.  Funeral services will be 2 p.m Thursday at the Funeral Home with Rev. Edith Bruner officiating.  Burial will be in Waveland Cemetery.  - jz
