Mrs. Will Mitchell died at a hospital at Terre Haute where she had been for treatment for many months, and her body was brought here for interment on Monday. The funeral was from the home of Mrs. Mitchell’s mother on West Market Street on Wednesday. Mr. Mitchell was at one time a well known tailor in this city and this was the home of himself and family for a long time.


Note: On her Death Record she died 1-6-1901 @ 2 a.m. of Chronic Meningitis and exhaustion - father is David Cox (hard to read but mother is not filled out)

Mrs. Will Mitchell, of Terre Haute, died Sunday morning at her home after an illness of several months in a hospital at that city. The deceased was well known here, she having formerly resided here, Mr. Mitchell being a tailor. The body was brought here Monday evening and the funeral took place Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the home of Mrs. Miller, on West Market Street. The interment was at Oak Hill. -s
