Earl Mitchell, age 63, died at 2:15 p.m. Sunday May 15 in Venice, Fla where he and his wife had spent the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell, who operate a farm in the Waveland area, spent their winters in Venice. Mr. Mitchell was a member of the Venice Citizen’s Band Club. Born May 22, 1901, in Parke County he was a son of Moses and Artie Hutson Mitchell. He was married to Ethel Fisher who survives. Other survivors include a brother, Harold Glen Mitchell of Waynetown; two sisters, Mrs. Clemmie Mitchell of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Ruby Wilson of Hillsdale. The body was brought to Machledt & Servies Funeral Home for services on Wednesday, Rev. James O. Trousdale and Rev. Hugh Dooley officiated with burial in Old Union Cemetery, Waveland. - transcribed by kbz
