BEDFORD – Mrs. Bertha Reed Mitchell, 84, wife of Sam Mitchell, died here Monday. Mrs. Mitchell was born Feb. 11, 1883, in Lawrence County to Charles L. and Izil A. Norman. She married Sam Mitchell in 1958 in Bedford. She was a member of the Bedford First Methodist Church. Survivors include the husband and several nieces and nephews in Montgomery County. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Ferguson and Lee Funeral Home in Bedford. Graveside rites will be a 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Masonic Cemetery in Crawfordsville. – jlr
