Mrs. Elizabeth Misner died at the family residence at Smartsburg of cancer of the stomach Monday night at 10:30 o’clock. Mrs. Misner was born in Butler County, Ohio, March 23, 1817 being 76 years 7 months 12 days old. She was married to Benjamin Misner Jan 1, 1835 and came to this county in 1836 where they have since resided. Mr. Misner died Dec 9 last. They were the parents of 10 children, 3 of whom survive: Mrs. Elijah Kennedy, Silas Misner and Mrs. John Maston. They were well and favorably known, being honorable in all their dealings, sociable and pleasant to all visitors and charitable and kind at all times. The funeral occurred on Wednesday the 17th at 1 o’clock pm. At the Baptist Church in Smartsburg. - kbz

Mrs. Benjamin Misner was buried last Wednesday at Smartsburg. Her husband was buried but a short time ago. Both were very old. Mr. Misner was sheriff of the county at one time
