Rose Lodge, Darlington NO 119, IOGT

Inasmuch as it has pleased the Almighty Father to remove from among us our brother, Josiah Milner, taking the soldier from the ranks who fell with his harness on to the glorious reward awaiting those who add to their faith virtue, temperance and other Christian graces. Be it therefore
Resolved, that although in our shortsightedness we can not perceive the wisdom and goodness of the stroke, yet we believe, "He doeth all things well" and that our loss is our Brother's gain.
Resolved, that we bear cheerful testimony to the integrity with which our brother adhered to the principles of our Order and trust that his example may stimulate us to persevere in the great work in which we are engaged.
Resolved, that we tender to the bereaved family our sincere condolence in this great aflliction and turst that He who tempers the wind to the shorn lamb will be a Husband to the widow and a Father to the Fatherless.
Resolved, that these resolutions be spread upon the records of our Lodge and copy of the same be signed by WCT and countersigned by the WS, and presented to the family of our deceased Brother, and that a copy of the above be sent to the editors of the Western Independent and our county papers with a request that they be published.
