Mrs. Josephine H. MILLIGAN, 83, died at the Masonic Home, Franklin Saturday. She had been ill 4 ½ years. Born Dec 28, 1881 at Youngs Chapel she was the daughter of John and Eleanor Pottenger Hitch. She married Dean S. Milligan March 2, 1904 at Crawfordsville. Mrs. Milligan was a member of the Waveland Presbyterian Church and for many years was secretary of the Waveland Brown Township Library Board. She was graduated from the Crawfordsville Business College. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Clyde Kessler; two sons, Lawrence d. Milligan; John H. Milligan; 3 grandchildren two step grandchildren; two nieces and 3 nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 brothers and a sister. Services were held Tuesday at the Machledt & Servies Funeral Home, Rev. John D. DeKruyter officiating. Burial in Waveland Presbyterian Cemetery. Pallbearers were Marvin Burkett; John Milligan; Jr. Dean Milligan; Hiram Hitch; Bill Hitch and Marvin Hitch. NR Walker played the organ. - kbz
