WAVELAND — Clarence E. Milligan, 83, a native of Waveland, died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in Culver Hospital. He had been ill since Jan. 2. Mr. Milligan served as an elder at the Waveland United Methodist Church for 20 years. He was a 57-year member of the Waveland Masonic Lodge, a 50-year member of Brown Township Farm Bureau and a director of the County Co-op for 14 years. Educated in the Waveland schools, he had farmed all his life in the Waveland community. Born Oct. 29, 1889, in Waveland, he was a son of William and Eba McKinney Milligan. He was married to Elva Sayler near New Market June 21, 1916. Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Mary Beth) Stuart of Crawfordsville; a son, Dwight of Russellville; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother Elton of Greensburg; a sister, Mabel Semler of Benton Harbor, Mich., and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Machledt-Servies Funeral Home with Rev. Lester Niles and Rev. John Van Vactor officiating. Burial will be in Presbyterian Cemetery at Waveland. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. Masonic services will be conducted in the funeral home at 8 p.m. Thursday.

Clarence E. Milligan, age 83, a native of Waveland and the father of Dwight Milligan, died Jan. 18, in Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. Other survivors are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Stuart of Crawfordsville; a brother, Elton of Greensburg; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Semler of Benton Harbor, Mich., three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the Machledt & Servies Funeral Home in Waveland with Rev. Lester Niles and Rev. John Van Vactor officiating. Burial was in the Presbyterian Cemetery, at Waveland. - kbz
