Mrs. Edwin Milligan, who has been critically ill since the funeral of Mrs. Thomas Milligan, passed away on Sunday at half past 12. Funeral services at the Thomas Milligan home on Tuesday afternoon were in charge of Rev. JT Boyer. Music by the Male Quartette. Interment at Maple Ridge.
The following obituary was read: Carrie Kerr Milligan, daughter of Samuel and Virginia Kerr was born near Newtown In April2 5, 1864 and departed this life at Waveland Indiana, May 5, 1918 being 54Y and 10 days old. At the age of 16 years she united with the Newtown Presbyterian Church, moving her membership to the Waveland Presby. in 1894, where it remained until her death. She was always faithful in the discharge of her Christian duties, at Church, when possible and always in her daily life. Many were the kindnesses rendered that were unknown to her fellow men. For her faithfulness she received her Heavenly Father's reward, for in her dying hours she was heard to say, "Oh, I have such a wonderful God. He is so good to me." On Dec. 13, 1893, she was united in marriage to Edwin Thomas Milligan and the union was blessed with an only and much beloved daughter, Martha Virginia. Besides the husband and daughter, she leaves to mourn, two brothers, Charles D. and Guy W. Kerr three nephews and two nieces, all of Newtown and a world of friends. - kbz

Waveland, May 6th -- Mrs. Ed Milligan of Newtown died Sunday afternoon at the home of Charles Milligan after an illness of two weeks which she contracted while attending the funeral of Mrs. Martha Milligan. She is survived by a husband, daughter and two brothers, Charles and Guy, all of Newtown. She was born April 25, 1864, at Newtown, the daughter of Samuel and Virginia Kerr. She was married to Ed Milligan Dec. 13, 1893. She was an active member of the Waveland Presbyterian Church, was highly respected and had a wide circle of friends. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the home and interment will be at Maple Ridge Cemetery - kbz
