Lafayette, Jan 9 Mrs. Bessie D. MILLIGAN, wife of S. Roy Milligan, undertaker and general store proprietor of the store at Clark's Hill and one of the best known residents of Lauramie Twp, died on Friday morning at 3:05 o'clock at Home Hospital, Lafayette where she underwent an operation last Tuesday. Mrs. Milligan had been ill for the past 8 years. Born in Colfax in April 1877, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Allison and her entire life had been spent in the Clark's Hill vicinity. Mrs. Milligan was a member of the Christian Church and a past worthy matron of OES. At the time of her death she was holding an office in the Clark's Hill chapter, OES. She was united in marriage in 1900 to S. Roy Milligan and two children were born to this union: Frank who died when a small boy and John W. Milligan, LaPorte, a graduate of Purdue in 1937. The body was taken to the Rogers & Smith Funeral Home to be prepared for burial and late Friday afternoon was taken to the family home in Clark's Hill. - kbz
