Source: Crawfordsville Weekly Journal Friday, 26 January 1900

On Wednesday the 17th, inst., Mrs. Talitha Miller died near Edinburgh, this state, aged 86 years and four months. Mrs. Miller was the stepmother of Valentine and John Miller on Black Creek. Mrs. Miller was a kind and good mother. Her life was spent in this world in doing good for others. She was a Christian lady known far and wide for her gentle deeds of charity. She was of that kind Jesus referred to in his great sermon on the Mount, when she said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.| This woman was permitted when passing from this life to see into Heaven and tell her children what she saw. Heaven and the angels, her departed stepdaughter, who long ago was laid to rest. She told her weeping friends she saw Ann. It will be remembered that Mrs. Miller has often visited in this county and many of the older people remember her. – thanks to S for this one
