Miller - Morris
Source: Crawfordsville Daily Journal Wednesday, 14 October 1891
The Journal made brief mention the other day of a fight which occurred at Linden between a man named Whitecotton and young Morris Miller. Miller who was not supposed to be dangerously injured at first, is now lying at the point of death, and it is feared cannot recover. The men had a squabble in Harwood’s billiard hall and it ended in Whitecotten beating Miller terribly over the head with the butt end of a billiard cue. He was taken home and Whitecotten arrested, fined and released. Miller grew worse and lay all day yesterday in a comatose condition, bleeding at the ears and apparently sinking. If his injuries prove fatal, Montgomery County will have another murder trial on hand in short order.
