Marie, the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Miller died of peritonitis at their home on North Washington Street on Saturday morning, Aug 3, 1895, aged 6 months 30 days. The funeral services were conducted at St. Bernard's Church.
Darling Marie now has left us;
She is numbered with the dead
We no longer see her
Lying in her snow white bed
Though we miss her daily appearance
As the lonely days pass on
Oh, how sad it is to think
That she forever more is gone
So farewell, Marie darling
You are happy with your God
You have entered through the gate way
Through which each godly fool must trod
