Mrs. Margaret Ellen Miller, 89, of 611 E. College St., died Wednesday afternoon at Culver Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Christian Church at Mellott and OES at Goodland, Ind. She was born in Montgomery County May 23, 1879, a daughter of James and Mary Elizabeth (Farly) Ross. Her first marriage was to President A. Mitchell, her second to John Willhite and her third to Charles O. Miller. Surviving are two sons, Elmer Mitchell of Veedersburg and Robert Miller of Valparaiso; three daughters, Mrs. Frank (Eula) Haslam, with whom she lived, Mrs. Roy (Daisy) Brandenburg of Mellott and Mrs. Stanley (Amaza) Zimmerman of Sturgis, Mich.; 19 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, five sisters and three sons. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Powers Funeral Home with Rev. John Servies officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. John Servies officiating assisted by Rev. Leon Willhite of Elburn, Ill. Requested selections were played on the organ with Mrs. Ray Shepard as organist. Serving as pallbearers and assisting with the flowers were Noel Willhite of Waynetown, Terry Zimmerman of Sturgis, Mich., Mervin Ross of Frankfort, Terry Willhite of Indianapolis, Sam Haslam and Archie Krout of Crawfordsville. Burial was in the family plot in the Oakland Cemetery. Mrs. Miller died Wednesday at Culver Hospital after a long illness.
