Landis F. MILLER, 67, of 110 S. Earl Ave., Lafayette, died at Home Hospital Tuesday morning. He had been in failing health for a year and had been hospitalized since Monday evening. He was born near Crawfordsville, May 31, 1900, the son of James R. and Arillda Wilson Miller. He was reared there and moved to Lafayette in 1920. Mr. Miller married Mary L. Eberle Aug. 25, 1923, in Lafayette. He was a union carpenter for several years before becoming a press operator at Alcoa. He retired from Alcoa in 1954 after 10 years with the firm. He was a 25-year member of Eagles Lodge 347. He is survived by the widow; a brother, Paul W. Miller of Veedersburg; a half-brother, Earl Miller of Chicago, and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Gilkey of Waynetown and Mrs. Alma Fruits of Crawfordsville. Friends may call at the Hippensteel Funeral Home at Lafayette from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday. The Eagles Lodge will conduct services there at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Services will be at the Hippensteel Chapel at 1 p.m. Friday. Rev. Joseph G. Wick will officiate. Burial will be at the Springvale Cemetery at Lafayette.
