James Lee Miller, 59, of Catlin, Ill., brother of Mrs. Ivan Harris of Linnsburg and Herbert Miller of Waveland, died Friday afternoon at the Vermillion Nursing Home in Illinois after an extended illness. Mr. Miller had lived for a number of years in the Browns Valley area on the Ed Peck farm. He was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church near Browns Valley. Born Feb. 16, 1909, he was the son of John T. and Sarah Hargis Miller. Survivors in addition to the brother and sister mentioned above include a sister, Mrs. Helen Rose of Danville, Ill., and two brothers, Joe Miller of St. Bernice, Ind. and Johnny Miller of Tilton, Ill., and many nieces and nephews, some living in this area. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at the Carrington Funeral Home in Fairmount, Ill. Burial will be in Jones Cemetery at Catlin. – jlr
