James G. Miller died yesterday afternoon about 4 o'clock of congestion, aged 29 years. Although he had been slightly indisposed for a day or two nothing serious was anticipated. He was out yesterday morning on the street, but took to his bed before noon and grew worse until the hour of his death. His funeral will take place tomorrow at 8 o'clock from the residence of his brother, W.T. Miller, on East Main street. The services will be conducted by Rev. S.P. Colvin. Interment at Oak Hill Saturday Evening Journal, September 15, 1883 The funeral of James G. Miller occurred last Sunday afternoon at the residence of his brother, W.T. Miller, on West Main street. Rev. E.B. Thompson made some impressive remarks, and a quartet choir, composed of B. V. Krout, furnished appropriate music. The pall bearers were C.N. Williams, A.T. Reynolds, Charley Webster, Will Henkle, Ike Goldsberry and Tom Hightower. Interment at Oak Hill - thanks to Kim H
