George Miller died at his home in Lebanon, after an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were held at the home on Tuesday afternoon by Rev. KW Hill, pastor of the ME Church, of which the deceased was a member. Interment in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Miller was born in Pittsburg, Carroll County, Indiana Oct 3, 1847 and was consequently 67 years and 8 days. He had lived in Indiana all his life. For the past three years, he had been a citizen of Lebanon. He was twice married, the first time to Amanda J. Pickerel who died in 1874, and the second time on March 28, 1875, at Whitesville, Ind, to Sarah E. McMullen, who survives. The children living are: by the first marriage, Jasper Miller of Rushville, by the second marriage, Mrs. Margaret Cuppy, of this place; Walter Miller of Rushville; Miss Maude Miller of Lebanon and Chester Miller of Earl Park, In. Mr. Miller was a well known figure upon our streets, where he always had a kindly greeting for all. He was a mechanic of more than average ability, and for years he was the chief resource of the Midland for repairs. kbz
