LADOGA - Dr. Earl A. Miller, practicing veterinarian in Ladoga for 20 years, died suddenly at Witham Memorial Hospital, Lebanon. Dr. Miller, 72, was pronounced dead one hour after arrival at the hospital. The deceased, a past master of Ladoga Lodge No. 187, F & AM, was to receive his 50-year membership pin at ceremonies planned for next Tuesday. He had served as secretary of the local lodge for the last 23 years. In addition he was a director of the Masonic Building Co. and a member of Ladoga Chapter 222, Order of Eastern Star. Dr. Miller retired in 1967, 47 years after he began his practice in Rockville. Born on Dec. 24, 1896, in Terre Haute, he was the son of Erast and Susan Allsop Miller. His marriage to Naomi Nevins was solemnized on Sept. 17, 1921. Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Ben Bryan of Lebanon; a brother, Ivan C. Miller of Everglades, Fla., and three grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in the Gephart Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Graveside rites are set for 3:30 at the Highland Lawn Cemetery at Terre Haute. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday. - jlr
