Charles W. Miller, 58, former chief of driver’s examinations in Indianapolis. Services 2 p.m. tomorrow in Bright Funeral Home. He operated the Montgomery County License Bureau 195-1957.

Charles W. Miller, 58, 1015 S. Elm St., died at 3:20 p.m. Sunday in Culver Hospital. He had been in failing health about six weeks. Born June 16, 1902, in Crawfordsville, he was a son of William V. and Esta Opperman Miller. He was married to Martha J. Morgan, Aug. 18, 1935 in Crawfordsville. Mr. Miller graduated from Crawfordsville High School and attended Wabash College and Butler University. He was a former Chief of Drivers Examinations at Indianapolis and operated the Montgomery County License Bureau from 1954 through 1957. He was in the traffic division of the State Highway Dept. until his health began failing. Mr. Miller was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church, Linden Conservation Club and was active in Republican politics. He served as Committeeman of Ward 4, Precinct 1 for 17 years. He lived his entire life in this city and was an avid fisherman, hunter and gardner. Survivors include his wife; a brother, John W. Miller of Champaign, Ill., and two nieces, Mrs. Charles Bialeschki of Champaign and Mrs. James L. Donovan of Franklin Park, N.J. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. (EST) Wednesday at Bright Funeral Home with Rev. C. H. Loveland, pastor of the Trinity Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday. – jlr
