Wingate, May 2- Charles E. Miller, 70, dropped dead of a heart attack Tuesday evening at 10:30 o’clock on the steps of the Crawfordsville courthouse. Mr Miller had gone to Crawfordsville earlier in the day with Harry H. Deeter of Waynetown and was waiting for Mrs. Deeter when stricken. A life-long resident of Montgomery he was born Jan 4, 1864 and was married Jan 1, 1890 to Lola Olive Steele. For a number of years the family lived near Waynetown where Mr. Miller was engaged in farming. After the death of his wife 11 years ago, he came to Wingate and for several years conducted a store and meat market, retiring from that business about three years ago. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving is a son, Paul A. Miller, with whom he lived also a daughter, Mrs. Mary Imogene Lee of Chicagp; a brother, John W. Miller of Bellingham, Wash and a half sister, Mrs. Bertha Atheran of Wickersham, Wash> The body was brought here. (note: Buried Waynetown). - kbz
