– Raymond C. Miles, 75, a retired employee of Alcoa at Lafayette, died at 11:30
p.m. Monday in Culver Hospital. He was a native of New Market and lived most of
his life in the Crawfordsville area. He resided at 92 Argonaut Dr, Imperial
Estates, Crawfordsville. Mr. Miles was married in 1928 to Genevieve Cunningham
who died in 1974. He worked at Alcoa 25 years retiring in 1967. He was a member of Jackson Heights United
Methodist Church at Romney, Senior Citizens Club and Sugar Creek Campers.
Survivors include five sons: Ted and Jim Miles, both of California; Marion
Miles of Lafayette and Don and Kenneth Miles, both of Crawfordsville; three
daughters: Mrs. Barbara Handley of West Germany and Mrs. Marie Haniford and
Mrs. Gertie Cunningham, both of Crawfordsville; two stepsons, Robert and Homer
Cunningham, both of California; a sister, Mrs. Dolly Lord of Montana; and two
half brothers, Robert and Kenneth Arkley both of Calgary, Alberta Canada.
