Ollie Freeman Miles, 75, who lived east on Ind. 32 died Sunday morning at Culver Hospital where he had been a patient 22 days. A native of Waveland, he was born Oct. 2, 1891, a son of Andrew and Mary Luvilla Thurman Miles. He was married to Della Good May 3, 1917 in Frankfort. He lived there until 1922 before moving to Indianapolis, where he was employed at Prestolite Battery nearly 25 years. For 16 years he operated the Miles Motel in Indianapolis. He moved to Crawfordsville in July of 1965, and he was a member of the East Side Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are the widow; a son, Leonard of Bainbridge; a brother, Glenn of Crawfordsville; and three sisters, Mrs. Ethyl Dowden of Harvey, Ill., Mrs. Martha Howe of West Newton, Ind., and Mrs. Roy Trout of Zionsville. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ira, and a sister, Hazel Burk. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bright Funeral Home with Rev. L. R. Russell officiating. Interment will be in mausoleum in Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis. Friends may call at the funeral home.
